OrbitVue Suspended Fireplace

The OrbitVue is a suspended fireplace with a 360° viewing angle—designed for spaces where the fireplace is the central object in the room, visible from every direction. Unlike wall-mounted or single-face fireplaces, the OrbitVue is built to be walked around.
The suspension system supports the fireplace from a single overhead point, allowing the unit to rotate gently with air currents—a slow, barely perceptible movement that adds a kinetic quality to the flame. The matte black housing reads as a shadow against the ceiling; the glass cylinder contains the flame and provides safety from all angles.
Material & Craftsmanship
- Aviation-grade stainless steel—heat-resistant, built for sustained high-temperature use
- Tempered borosilicate glass—clear visibility with structural integrity under thermal stress
- Precision TIG welding—continuous seams, no warping under heat
- Matte black powder-coat finish—high-temperature rated, hand-applied
- Vented bioethanol burner—clean-burning, no smoke, no ash, no chimney required
- Safety shut-off—integrated flame control and extinguishing mechanism
Bioethanol: What It Is, What It Isn't
Bioethanol is a clean-burning liquid fuel derived from plant material. Real flame, no smoke, no ash, no chimney. Heat output is moderate—designed as an architectural and atmospheric element, not a primary heat source.
Burn time: 4–6 hours per fill.
Fuel: Standard bioethanol fireplace fuel.
Design Intent
"Most fireplaces are designed to be viewed from one position—a couch, a bed, a specific chair. The OrbitVue was designed for spaces where people move around the fireplace, not sit in front of it. The 360° glass means there's no back, no hidden side, no utility panel. Every angle is the front." — Designer's note
Applications
- Central installations in great rooms and double-height spaces
- Open-plan living areas with 360° circulation
- Hospitality settings—hotel lobbies, lounge spaces, restaurant centers
- Atriums and architectural feature spaces
Safety & Installation
Requires structural ceiling attachment—anchored to a ceiling joist or structural beam. Minimum ceiling height: 9 feet. 360° non-combustible floor area required (minimum 6-foot radius). Professional installation recommended; structural calculations provided upon request. Full safety specifications included.
