Cascading Light & Shadow Water Feature

The Cascading Light & Shadow is a multi-tier water feature designed to create shifting patterns of light and movement throughout the day. As water descends through the tiered structure, it interacts with ambient light—producing a kinetic surface that changes character from morning to evening.

The tiered geometry is engineered, not arbitrary. Each level is set at a height that produces a distinct acoustic register—lower tiers generate a deeper tone, upper tiers a brighter one. The combined sound is layered and full, not the flat splash of a single-drop fountain.

Design Intent
