AeroVibe Suspended Bioethanol Fireplace

The AeroVibe is a suspended bioethanol fireplace—an object that appears to float in space, with the flame as the only visible element below the steel body. The suspension system is engineered, not decorative: the fireplace hangs from a concealed ceiling mount, with the fuel line and structural support routed through the suspension cable.
The visual effect is a flame with no visible base. The matte black steel housing reads as a shadow or silhouette against the ceiling, drawing the eye to the fire rather than the object. This is a piece designed for spaces where the architecture demands the fireplace disappear into the room.
Material & Craftsmanship
- Aviation-grade stainless steel—heat-resistant, built for sustained high-temperature use
- Tempered borosilicate glass—clear visibility with structural integrity under thermal stress
- Precision TIG welding—continuous seams, no warping under heat
- Matte black powder-coat finish—high-temperature rated, hand-applied
- Vented bioethanol burner—clean-burning, no smoke, no ash, no chimney required
- Safety shut-off—integrated flame control and extinguishing mechanism
Bioethanol: What It Is, What It Isn't
Bioethanol is a clean-burning liquid fuel derived from plant material. It produces a real flame with no smoke, no ash, no soot, and no chimney requirement. Heat output is moderate—enough to warm the immediate area, but not a whole-house solution. The AeroVibe is designed as a sculptural and atmospheric element, not a primary heat source.
Burn time: 4–6 hours per fill, depending on flame setting.
Fuel: Standard bioethanol fireplace fuel.
Design Intent
"Suspended fire is one of the oldest design ideas—think of a chandelier, but with flame instead of crystal. The AeroVibe was designed to make the suspension invisible. The steel housing is matte black so it disappears into a shadow; the flame is the only thing the eye registers. The result is fire that seems to come from nowhere." — Designer's note
Applications
- Double-height living spaces and great rooms
- Atriums and stairwell landings
- Boutique hospitality settings—hotel lobbies, lounge areas
- Architectural spaces where a wall-mounted fireplace is not possible
Safety & Installation
Requires structural ceiling attachment—must be anchored to a ceiling joist or structural beam (not drywall). Minimum ceiling height: 9 feet. Non-combustible floor area required below. Professional installation recommended; structural calculations provided upon request. Full safety specifications and installation guide included.
