Our Story

About Sun Aesthetic Design

Sun Aesthetic Design was founded by a landscape architect who spent years designing outdoor spaces—gardens, terraces, courtyards, and resort landscapes. The brand began with a simple observation: the most overlooked element in residential outdoor design is water.

Most homeowners invest in plants, hardscaping, and lighting, yet the single feature that can transform a yard from "nice" to "unforgettable"—the sound and movement of water—is often missing, or reduced to a mass-produced plastic fountain that looks out of place in a thoughtfully designed space.

Our Founder

Our founder is a trained landscape designer with years of professional experience in residential and commercial outdoor projects. After years of specifying water features for clients and being unable to find pieces that met the standard of the surrounding architecture—clean lines, durable materials, proportions that respect the space—the decision was made to design them.

Every piece in our collection started as a design problem: how do you bring the sensory experience of water—sound, movement, light reflection—into a residential setting without compromising on material quality or architectural integrity?

Why Stainless Steel

We work primarily in aviation-grade stainless steel for three reasons:

  • Longevity. A properly fabricated stainless steel water feature lasts decades, not seasons. It won't crack, fade, or warp like plastic, resin, or cast stone.
  • Aesthetic range. Brushed, mirror-polished, or matte black finished—stainless steel adapts to modern, minimalist, and transitional architecture alike.
  • Structural integrity. Thin profiles, clean welds, and rigid construction allow for the architectural silhouettes our designs are known for—something impossible with heavier, less workable materials.

Made to Order, Not Mass Produced

Every Sun Aesthetic Design piece is made to order. We don't hold warehouse inventory of finished products—each unit is fabricated only after you place your order, to your specifications.

This means:

  • Your piece is built fresh—not sitting in a warehouse for months accumulating scratches and wear.
  • You can request custom dimensions, finishes, or configurations for many of our designs.
  • Production takes 4–6 weeks, because quality fabrication cannot be rushed.

We believe this is the right trade-off for a piece that will live in your space for years.

Our Design Philosophy

Three principles guide every piece we make:

  1. Water should be heard, not just seen. The acoustic design of our water features is engineered—the flow rate, drop height, and basin depth are tuned so the sound is present but never intrusive.
  2. Form follows function, but both matter. A water feature that looks beautiful but splashes, leaks, or grows algae has failed. Our designs are engineered to perform, then refined to look effortless.
  3. Respect the architecture. A water feature is a supporting element, not the whole composition. Our designs are intentionally restrained—they enhance a space rather than dominate it.

Who We Design For

Our pieces are for homeowners who care about the details, landscape designers sourcing for clients, and architects specifying outdoor features for high-end residential projects. If you are looking for the cheapest option, we are not it. If you are looking for a piece that will still look right in your space in ten years, we are.
